今日は、「前置詞」についてです。

英検やTOEICなどの試験にはもちろんの事、日常会話でも欠かせない　前置詞

日本語では　助詞にあたる　が　を　と 　に　へ　などをさしますが

日本語の格助詞に比べ、英語の前置詞は圧倒的に多いんです。

その基本中の基本はこちら・・・

【時を表す前置詞】

in　　月・年・四季　一定の期間　●in spring

on　　曜日・日時　特定の日　●on Friday

at       時刻・一定の時間   ●at one o'clock

from   ～から　　       ●from Monday

to　　　～まで　　    ●to Sunday　

until   ～までずっと 　●The shop opens until 9pm

by　～までに　　 　  ● by tomorrow  

since　～から　　　  ●since 2010 

for  　　 ～の間　　   ● for 3days 

before  　～の前　　●before the noon

after　　～の後     ●after school

during　　ある特定の期間中   ●during the lesson

within　　ある特定の期間内   ●within 10 minutes

【場所を表す前置詞】

in  　～の中に 　　●in Japan　　

on     ～に接触   　●on the wall （壁に）　

※～の上と認識しがちですが、ある物の上に乗っているだけではありません

at    ～　　地点　   ●at the corner 　　             【k

by   　～のそばで　　●Stand by me

over 　～を超えて　●over the bridge 

under 　～の真下に　　　●under the desk

below      ～の下　　  ●below the sea level 海面下

around　　～の周りに　そばに  ●around the desk

前置詞の場合特に前後の文脈で意味が大きく変わります。
